Lusted of the University of Chicago as a comment on the article "Effects of 'matched filter' smoothing as measured by receiver operating characteristic curve" by P.F. Sharp and N.B. Herath. A response to this correspondence was written by P.F. Sharp and N.B. Herath of the University of Aberdeen. Both of these were published in the correspondence section of Physics in Medicine and Biology.
