There is also a note attached at the back from 'Wanda' (probably W.I.Keyes, one of the authors) on IBM headed paper stating "Dear Prof, this has finally appeared -nearly two years after the meeting at the IEE at which I presented it. The paper I gave at the Pattern Recognition conference in Oxford has also been accepted for publication, and I'm expecting the proofs anytime now. Best wishes, Wanda.". Note is dated 8 October 1980.
