| Description | Material relating to the exhibition celebrating the joint 10th anniversary of Alwyn North and the 20th anniversary of Frigg. The 'Alwyn / Frigg Anniversary Panels' CD contains colour, professionally-taken photographs of people, places and equipment, along with scanned pages and diagrams from documents, many of which were used in the exhibition. The final panels are also included on the disc. The six panels for each of the two fields and associated facilities (pipelines, terminal, Dunbar) are largely photographic, including construction, installation, pipelaying, modification/expansions and daily life. The text is limited to quotes from those who worked on, or were otherwise heavily involved with, the platforms or St Fergus Terminal; names and dates of various managers; and brief timelines and statistics about the installations.
Many of the photographs included on the CD are among the physical photographs in the file. These are colour aerial shots of Alwyn North, MCP-01, pipelaying and construction of St Fergus, and the transportation of the Natural Liquid Gas bullets (containers) on a lorry through winding Aberdeenshire roads. Most have labels on the reverse, but no dates. There are three black and white photographs of Queen Elizabeth II at the Terminal's inauguration, two showing her shaking hands with staff and one of her being presented with a painting at the formal lunch. All photographs are A5 or A4 size.
The 'St Fergus Wildlife Illustration Images' CD contains 7 drawings of birds, foxes, deer and otters with various parts of the terminal visible in the background at distance.
Also includes two leaflets, 'Working Together for the future of the St Fergus coastal environment' and 'The St Fergus Coastal Environment: Twenty five years of caring for a very special environment', both focussing on the wildlife surrounding the terminal and how Total and the community work to protect the environment. |
