Title | 32" Pipeline Pull-In Report |
Date | 1976 - 1977 |
Extent | 1 volume |
Creator Name | Brown & Root (UK) LTD |
Description | The report reviews the pipeline pull-in at MCP-01, that is, when the pipelines were connected to the the base of the platform underwater. As certain aspects of the operation were novel, the report is detailed and comprehensive. Particular emphasis is laid on the lay-barge method, used on only one of the four pipelines, because that is where Brown & Root was most heavily involved. The report is comprised of the following sections: Planned Procedures, for the alignment and all four pull-ins; Roles of the Support Vessels; Equipment and Systems; Sequence of Events; Discussion of Events, where the authors suggest ways of minimising or avoiding the difficulties they encountered; and Conclusions. With diagrams and colour plates. |
