| Description | Letter from David Skene to John Ellis with which he sends sertularie tamarisce for Dr. Pallas; he remarks that the little purple eschara is not the same as his (gives a plate reference for it); He will send some specimens by Mr Boyne and also a small, branched millepora coral; He wishes Ellis were a Commissioner for the H and S Seamen as they have lost his vouchers and refuse to pay him £50; he has engaged a person to collect for him at the sea side; he has seen a pennatula murabilis linn.; Ellis thinks that fuc. piperatus is the same as fuc. dealensis but it is very different; he begs a sketch of the conservatory, a plate of urticae and whatever duplicates he can spare, 5 December 1765. |
