DescriptionLetter from David Skene, Edinburgh to Andrew Skene (his father) in which he states that he will follow his advice against attending Plummer's lectures. Although he believes he would have greatly enjoyed them, not attending them will give him more time to write his notes; he describes Monro's lectures ('by far the most graceful speaker') and his attitude to Ruysch. He describes an encounter Monro had had with Ruysch who had been recommended to him by Herman Boerhaave; he describes Rutherford's lectures with reference to Van Swieten; comments adversely on Whyte's reputation as lecturer; describes inconvenience in lectures at Infirmary; gives news of Willie Gordon and the lectures he attends; describes his expenditure, 13 November 1751
