Description | Letter from David Skene to his father, Andrew Skene, in which he states that he waited on Mr Monro; he described Lady Balnacraig's condition and Alexander Monro's plans for treating her; he waited on Dr Rutherford who advised him on what lectures he should attend including lectures on 'Chymie' by Plummer, his own lectures on the practice of physic and those by Monro and the infirmary; he received his chest but without shoes and lists items of clothing that 'may be taken care of until I return' and he lists letters he has not yet been able to deliver on behalf of his father, 5 November 1751. |
