Description | Letter from David Skene, Brodie House, to John Hope in which he states that he is glad Dr. Home has succeeded to M [ateria] M[ edica]; approves of the proposal for a 'British Herbal' under direction of L[ord] B [ute] although with reservations about Hill; here he is picking up mosses; he describes the look of the trees in spring; he will look for specimens of plants when convenient and will send him his list of thesis when in Aberdeen; he would be glad to make the acquaintance of Dr Ramsay, 11 April 1768. |
