Administrative HistoryJames Brown Jessiman was born in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire on 21 May 1897, the son of Alexander Jessiman, blacksmith. He was educated at Gordon Higher Grade Public School, Huntly and at the University of Aberdeen, from where he graduated M.D. Ch.B. 1922 and MD 1933. He worked as a general practitioner in Malvern, Worcestershire, 1931 - 1958, during which time he also held the posts of Medical Officer at Malvern Isolation Hospital and at Malvern General Hospital.
DescriptionCollection includes a leaving certificate from Gordon Higher Grade Public School, Huntly in 1914; Graduation certificates for M.B.Ch.B and MD with memorabilia from Jessiman's time as a student at the University of Aberdeen, including a Histology notebook; A small selection of material from the reunions of the medical class of 1922.
