(5) Account of a lecture, first in a series delivered on behalf of the Protestant Reformation Society in Leamington. Its subject is 'the Bible'.
(6) Account of a lecture, second in a series with (5) above, on the subject of 'The Church'. In it, Cumming discusses the idea of the 'Church' in Christian thinking, with a particular view to refuting Roman Catholic claims to the title.
(7) Account of a lecture, third in a series with (5) and (6) above, on 'The School'. Deals with the importance of correct education in the raising of Christian youths.
(8) Account of a lecture, fourth in a series with (5), (6) and (7) above, on 'The Country'. Deals with the various factors - climate, moral character, etc. - which contribute to the greatness of nations.
(9) Brief synopses, from another newspaper, of the four lectures delivered by Rev. Cumming on behalf of the Protestant Reformation Society in Leamington. See (5-8) above.
(10) Account of the first of two lectures delivered by Rev. Cumming on behalf of the Special Mission to the Roman Catholics and the Protestant Reformation Society. His subject is 'the Atonement, its Protestant and Romish Aspects.' |
