(1) Account of a lecture delivered by Rev. Cumming during or soon after the restoration of Catholic hierarchy in England. The article makes no mention of where or when the lecture was delivered. In it, Cumming condemns Catholics and particularly the Pope, asserting that England was and needed to remain unified in its struggle against 'Romanism'.

(2) Account of a lecture delivered by Rev. Cumming to an audience in Plymouth. Cumming here adresses various errors and faults of the Roman Catholic Church, illustrating them with specific examples from papal and magisterial pronouncements and the writings of saints.
