Observe in the background the same black island as referred to in the picture with the 3 officers of the Terra Nova [not present in this collection]. The 2 views are looking in the same direction and form a good contrast - January 10th and February 19th - the former all ice - the later all water. Observation Hill and Hut Point can first be seen over the X at foot of picture.' |
