| Description | Copy memorial and queries for the trustees of the deceased William Gerard of Stonehouse with Mr Ferguson of Pitfour’s answers, 9 March 1764. Gerard left a will in which he wanted to share the residue of his estate between his blood relations in the first, second and third degree without naming or explaining this, and when he died had only cousins left living. An additional legacy, however, left a sum in liferent to Miss Ramsay, sister of the Chevalier Ramsay and widow of Francis Gordon, surgeon in Fochabers, and to her daughters. |
