DescriptionLetter to George Riddoch from his brother James, Montego Bay, regarding receipt of letters, John Duncan from Fordyce now in Jamaica, hopes not to disgrace him, hoping for news of his plans so he will know where to write to him, hoping his next letter will be more gentle, pleased to hear that George has been at home but disappointed to hear that he himself was never mentioned, he would give up all his money to go back to his happy youth with George, the climate is not good for his health, most of the ladies he has contact with ‘are much of the colour of Pitcaple’s angels’, 22 June 1778
