DescriptionLetter to James Gordon from Alexander Grant of Tochineal, Cullen, thanking for factory and discharged accounts, but some corrections are needed, noting that Gordon wants him to follow his own inclination in managing the estate, the tenants now want tacks and he is settling with them for nineteen years, with an obligation to carry out improvements in the first four years, how he intends to manage payments on that income, sorting out a dispute over payment of teind silver, Aberlour is making an enclosure at Corriedown, encouraging the tenants in retaliatory enclosure on Gordon’s side, William Grant has moved to the merchant service, thanking for Gordon’s help with him, declining payment for his work and explaining that he does it ‘to answer a sort of trust’ which he began with Gordon’s father and brother, greetings from Findlaters, Rannes, Durn, etc., will ask Mr Halloran to forward a packet of accounts from London, 22 June 1752
