DescriptionLetter to James Gordon from Alexander Grant of Tochineal, Cullen, reporting that he has received no letters from Gordon, mention of distress threatened against the estate by the forfeiture of Lord Lewis, which is imaginary, explaining the background tot the matter which involved the Duke of Gordon wanting to bring his brothers into Parliament, waiting for his approval for evictions, William Grant’s intention of sailing again, hoping that if Gordon is not to visit he will nominate someone else to come and clear his accounts, if any debts remain of his father’s they are minor, 30 July 1750
