Extent1 item
DescriptionLetter to James Gordon of Letterfourie from Alexander Grant of Tochineal, Cullen, regarding purchasing Buckie’s debts, which it turns out now Gordon did not wish to do, this has led to some difficulties and will not help with Gordon’s purchase of some of the lands, Halloran is refusing to honour his draughts, Glastirum intended to have his nephew entered as heir to Buckie, his father, but it was cancelled, rumour that Cairnfield was raising a summons of adjudication against the estate in the interest of his daughter and grandson [presumably Buckie’s widow and son], but probably not true, very displeased at accounts of his son Tam, this year’s crop is better, looking forward to his visit, 10 October 1757
