DescriptionLetter to Alexander Gordon, Letterfourie, from his brother James, London, thanking him for his letters, complaining that Alexander works too hard and will die a martyr, hoping that all the goods have arrived safely, worried about the poor when the crops fail, James Duff likely to travel north soon, possibly with the Riddochs, and he himself might follow, would go by sea except that he wants to stop at Edinburgh and meet Colquhoun Grant, asking for news of his own tenants as Alexander has only written of his own at Cairnbanno, he is sending oatmeal for the Letterfourie tenants but could spare some for Cairnbanno, further news of Frazer the smith, the complicated affairs of Mrs Riddoch, 28 June 1783
