| Administrative History | Derek D.G. Boyle BSc PhD (Hull) was appointed lecturer in Psychology at the University of Aberdeen in 1970. He was author of 'Psychology: The Aberdeen Connection' (1993), a short history of psychology teaching at the University of Aberdeen. He died on 18 October 1996. |
| Custodial History | Dr Boyle's papers remained in the Department of Psychology following his death in 1996 and until their deposit in Special Libraries and Archives in 2003. |
