Description | Minutes of general and committee meetings, and meetings of the committee of management of the partners of Aberdeen Leith and Clyde Shipping Company. Minutes record appointments of ships' masters and details of Company accounts, including decision of 25 June 1825 to transfer the Company's cash account from the Bank of Scotland to the Aberdeen Town & County Bank. Minutes of 16 February 1826 resolve to discontinue the Liverpool trade and minutes of 2 - 10 March 1826 refer to the purchase of the Steam Packet 'Brilliant'. Details on the condition of some of the Company's packets are mentioned and minutes of 7 August 1827 record the recommendation that the Glasgow Packet be disposed. Includes minutes of 16 and 19 November 1829, which were made by committees appointed to revise the Company's 'Contract'. Manuscript and signed by president or vice-president. |
