Administrative History | The Prix de la Fondation de Physiopathologie Professeur Lucien Dautrebande is an international prize awarded every three years either to a single individual or to a team of workers who have contributed to progress of human or animal pathophysiology, with particular reference to advances in therapy. The purpose is to enable the awardee(s), already well known scientists of international repute, to facilitate research of proven merit in a sufficiently advanced stage to benefit from substantial support and reward.
Hans Kosterlitz and John Hughes received the prize in 1982 upon the recommendation of the Medical Sciences Research Committee of the Royal Society, London, for their remarkable work concerning cerebellum biochemistry. The award ceremony was held at the Fondation de Physiopathologie Professeur Lucien Dautrebande, Belgium, 12 January 1983. |
