Letter from Kosterlitz asking Peterson to remind him of the composition of the paraffin-vaseline mixture with which they used to fill the skull cavities of the ... decerebrated cats, 14 September 1947. He states that he wishes 'to examine the mechanism underlying the depression of appetite deficiency of essential amino acids and thinks that the decerbrate preparation will be quite useful for this purpose'. With Peterson's detailed reply, 16 September 1947.
Letter from Peterson, 24 December 1948, referring to a document sent to him by Kosterlitz: 'The document you sent is a copy of the one I previously read. With the original was a letter which stated why the document had been written and I believe that at least the letter bore Macleod's signature. It is difficult to be certain at this late date, but my recollection is that the original was typed on foolscap size paper, Could you ask Mrs Burns to make a further search ?'
