| Description | Two files containing Goddard's notes notes on books in the pi category in Aberdeen University Library. The pi category consistes of books printed on the continent between 1501 and 1600; books printed in England between 1501 and 1640; and books printed in Scotland between 1501 and 1725. The notes are arranged by various aspects: bindings, bookplates, illustrations, etc. Some rubbings of bindings are included.
File (1) contains headings "bookplates" to "initial letters". Loosely inlaid, several notes from the Librarian of Shrewsbury School Library, J. H. Graham, on bibliographic topics.
File (2) contains headings "inscriptions" to "unidentified editions". At the end of the file, 21 sheets listing books catalogued from February 1936 to December 1936 |
