Administrative History | Stalker's work on anti-lymphocytic and anti-reticular sera built upon research published by Cruickshank in 1942, in which he described the preparation of an antiserum in rabbits against rat lymphocytes. Stalker's objective was to confirm Cruickshank's findings and to assess the possibility of preparing a serum against rabbit lymph nodes, in order to observe the growth and general behaviour of the Brown-Pearce transplantable rabbit carcinoma in animals with 'lymphoid deficiency.' |
