| Description | Duplicate of a letter sent to the General from Lieutenant Colonel Adams giving details of the attack on the fort at Ahmednagur together with a list of the casualties. He refers also to the disaster to the ship Caledonian which caught fire at sea when transporting convalescents of the 78th and finally blew up. Only about 16 men got clear in the boats and about 60 were killed in the explosion. [Marked A l0 in red lettering] |
