Title | Letter from General W Stewart at Rosetta to Lieutenant Colonel George Airey |
Date | April 20th 1807 |
Description | Reporting that the enemy had made a sortie on the previous day with about 80 cavalry and 200 infantry which the 35th and light Dragoons had repulsed. 250 infantry and 20 Cavalry which he repulsed had at 2 pm attacked Major Vogelsang at Hamet. Vogelsand had been reinforced by 130 light infantry and had been given orders to attack.
