The vouchers show that Frederick Fraser moved from Ascot to 93 Park Street, London, on January 12th and remained there until April 6th. He went to Bournemouth until April 14th and returned to London, at 16 Cork Street, until May 4th. He was at the Queen Hotel, Edinburgh, from May 4th-6th
He returned to Castle Fraser, where he died on May 20th. He was attended by a doctor at Ascot and four doctors in London, also by a resident nurse for a week
He purchased two claw leg Chippendale chairs, covered in brocade, at £6 each and an inlaid bureau with glass case on top for £10
His executry account includes a bill for the funeral, building a grave in the tomb, and bills for Professor Findlay, MD, in consultation with Dr Henry of Kemnay on May 14th, £15 15s. Dr Henry charged £18 18s for attendance in May
A lawyer from Edinburgh charged 100 guineas for a two-day visit to Castle Fraser
There is a cheque for taking 'Inventory at Castle Fraser £15 15s.' This Inventory totalled £6,222. (Furniture was also in store in London)
Lettering furniture in the inventory took 230 hours and cost £7 13s 4d.
For the funeral on May 22nd there were 12lb smoked ham, 14lb veal, a calf's head, 33lb roast, l0lb. brisket, 12 salt tongues, and a quarter of a lamb, plus 12 bottles sherry, 4 whisky and 5 dozen seltzer.
£348 was paid in interest on a bond of £24,000 issued by the Ministers' Widows' Fund
It appears from the vouchers that Frederick had belonged to the Royal Company of Archers, the Marlborough, United Services, Travellers', Piccadilly and Turf Clubs in London, the New Club in Edinburgh, the Royal Northern and the Conservative in Aberdeen, and the Jockey Club de France. He also belonged to Blackheath, Wimbledon, Ascot, North Berwick and Aberdeen Golf Clubs.
