TitleCharter by Patrick, bishop of Aberdeen, narrating that James Watson, burgess of Aberdeen had been served as heir to the late Andrew Watsone burgess of Aberdeen, his father and had obtained royal letters ordering the bishop, as superior, to enter him as heir.

DescriptionThe bishop grants James a half-net of salmon fishing in the water of Done, above and below the bridge of Balgowny, on both sides of the river, together with the towns and lands of Hlton and Clubsgowill, the miln and miln-lands of Clubsgowill, the outsets and pendicles of these lands called Arieburne and Halkhillock, with salmon fishings on the Done pertaining to these lands, the town and lands of Lochhills with the lake thereof called the Bishop’s Loch, and the towns and lands of Perwinnies and Bodukraw. These are to be held in feu-ferme for the same return and service as rendered to the bishop’s predecessors by Francis Irvine of Hiltoune and his predecessors. A precept of sasine follows. Edinburgh.
