DescriptionAccounts and other papers mainly concerning Major Burnett od Balfour, 17th century. Including:

Declaration in name of the Privy Council that sentence in favour of the earl ofSouthesk anent a dsk and loft in kirk of Fettercairne shall noways prejudge William Burnet of Balfour of a visatation for having a seat in said kirk, 12th July 1687.

Account for glasswork wrought for the Laird to Elvlick in the land in Leith, by James Clark, 8th December 1681.

Account for medicines due by Madam Burnett to William Smyth, appothecary in Salop, 1693/94.Articles supplied include frogwater, a pot of preserved walnuts, and carriage of two barrels of oysters from London, and several things for the horse.

Note of money resting dragoons in Lord Jedburgh's regiment, 7th January 1697.

Copy royal letters granting James, Earl of Airlie, freedom from captions etc. for 2 years, 17th December 1686.
