Kildrummy Papers 1680 - 1717. Transcribed from original MSS.
1. Certificate 29th Dec. 1680 in favour of Mr. John Alexander by the Presbytery of Edinburgh, and recommended to the Bishop for Licence.
2. License by the Bishop, 30th Dec. 1680.
3. Presentation to the kirk of Kildrummy by the Earl of Marr in favour of Mr. John Alexander 1682. (Original)
4. Acknowledgment by Alexander Mitchell, Schoolmaster of Keig - 28 October, 1685, that he had unjustly accused Mr. Alexander of having caused cut down some of his corn on the Lord's Day - retracting and submitting censure.
5. Minute of the meeting of Presbytery of Alford, 30th January 1689, appointing the Moderator, and the Minister of Clatt to attend a "dyet" to be held at "Old Aberdeen" on the 12th of February, by order of the Bishop to witness "our great concern for our religion as also our firm adherence to the government of the Church as it is now established".
6. "Instructions from ye Presbytery of Alford to the Moderator and Minister of Kildrummy, the delegates to ye Meeting to be holden at Aberdein respecting an address to King William.
7. Instructions given by the Representatives of the Synod of Aberdeen to their Commissioners going to the Court of England for presenting an address to their Majesties, King William and Queen Mary (November 17, 1690)

9. Copy letter from John Alexander, priest of Kildrummy, to his wife "from our prison in Winton House in the Cannongate" April 19, 1716. (Note the date. John Alexander has been imprisoned and subjected to many hardships, evidently because he has been implicated in the 1715 rising.)
10. Remonstrance of John Alexander, Minister of Kildrummy, "to the Rev. the Moderator and Remnant members of the Presbyterial Meeting at Alford" in reply to the summons "to compeer before the Presbytery at Alford, February 13, 1717 "upon ane Libell drawn up against him wherein he is charged with a great many facts of a high nature" - N.B. "facts" may be "faults".
11. Petition to Queen Anne from Parish of Cabrach against the intention of the Presbytery to thrust a Presbyterian minister upon the parish, although they know that there is not one professed Presbyterian in the whole of the parish of Cabrach.
12. Commendatory letter in favour of Isobel Nicholson, granted by the Rev. John Skinner, Linshart.
13. A few sidelights on Revolution Times from old MSS. By the late Rev. Canon Hawdon.
