The records of the diocese currently contain: Registers of confirmations and ordinations (for the registers of births, marriages and deaths, see individual church series); Minute books and papers for: associations, boards, clubs, committees, councils, senates and unions with statistical information from the diocese; Correspondence, both general and belonging to named individuals such as Bishop Jolly; Legal papers that include: deeds, settlements and titles; Financial papers such as accounts, cash books, financial returns, seat rents, statements; Membership papers including: certificates of burials and ordinations, lists of confirmations and communicants, subscriptions and testimonials; Personal papers that include: the papers of the deaconess Anna Ritchie and scrapbooks containing material related to the whole diocese; Papers of related bodies that comprise: Christies Memorial Library, Church Schools, The Friendly Society and the Lerwick Station of Missions to Seamen; Materials arranged by form include: photographs relating to the diocese and various churches with plans of churches and a churchyard.
