DescriptionLetter from Amelia Nyasa Laws, Bergstrasse 33, Dresden, Germany, to her relatives, thanking them for Edinburgh and African letters; Mr. Walker is now taking Uncle's copy of the 'Scotsman' before Uncle sends it to them so it is now delayed; article on Dr. Reith who has no commercial bent; Mrs. Campbell has not mentioned the General Assembly and they wonder if she will be able to get to Edinburgh even for the Women's Foreign Mission Meeting; Mr. Campbell had a fall on a slippery pavement during the winter and has not fully recovered; they have a house at Boat of Garten for the summer; Uncle says that Milne Rae is trying to get Irving and Blake for the summer at Pontresina; Dora Gredig attended the Women's Congress; Uncle to meet Lanciani, Rinaldi and the architect of the Archaeological Commission to make plans for continuing the excavations at S. Prisca; the Roman Catholics are likely to take it up; a count at Lugano may employ Oscar; Frau Pfannstiehl has gone to visit Luise who is back in hospital in Sweden; Herr Pfannstiehl has been awarded the title of Königliche Kirchenmusikdirektor (Royal Director of Church Music) by the King of Saxony; he does not like crowds waiting for him after the vesper service.
