| Description | Large bundle of manuscript sheets by Calder containing a fair copy of the inscriptions for MAMA volume VII and MAMA volume VIII (1-9), the majority being for MAMA VII. The manuscript consists of transcriptions, generally one per page, numbered consecutively from 100 to 279; no. 167 is not present. In each case, details of the inscription's location and size are given, follwed by the transcription, a note of the related negative or squeeze where appropriate, and details of any previous publication. The numbering does not correspond to the numbering of the published version. Some pencil notes and corrections have been added.
Between nos. 246 and 247 there are 11 sheets of folded scrap paper. Four (on old examination scripts) have numbered inscriptions and similar contents to the fair copy, although the numbering does not correspond; one of these has the date1928 in red pencil. The oterh seven have inscriptions from Svarik, some with reference numbers and some dated 1932. Two have reference "C. 1910" and "R & C. 1910" respectively. Corrections and additions in red pencil. |
