| Description | Bundle of 13 squeezes, some in very poor condition. Most with annotations in blue pencil. A strip torn from the "Observer" of 21 February 1937 used as a label reads "Kilikien" and a date variously read as 1911 or [19]24-34.
These are materials for MAMA volume III, "Denkmäler aus dem Rauhen Kilikien", edited by Keil and Wilhelm.
Materials by the researchers Kubitschek and Reichel were used in MAMA vol.VI, where they are credited to the Austrian Archaeological Institute (note on p.ix). The squeezes were perhaps sent to Manchester to be photographed for that volume. It appeared in 1939, and it may be that the squeezes were not returned because of the outbreak of war.
