| Description | Bundle of 3 notebooks, dated on front board 1928 No. 1, 2 and 3:
1. Notebook with numbered transcriptions and drawings in pencil, covering the sites of Nevinck, Dagh Deri, Kenderaz, Konia , Eldish, Urus Koi, Balki, etc. The abbreviation "Sq" has been placed against many of the entries to indicate that a aqueeze has been taken.
2. Notebook with numbered transcriptions and drawiings of inscriptions, apparently from the area between Guirtilu and Assar. Some notes indicate that local knowledge was relied upon for information on the provenance of inscribed stones (e.g. for the inscription subsequently published as MAMA 7.299). At the end of this notebook, as elsewhere,tthere is a list of places, dates and amount spent (presumably in Turkish lira); e.g. Göz Urim 10 June to Hassan (an assistant) £10.
