| Description | Diaries of Calder's expeditions to Anatolia between 1924 and 1930, kept by Calder himself and by William Buckler. They mostly record travel details, negotiations with Turkish officials, locations investigated, and occasionally some details of inscriptions found; however most of those details are recorded in the field notebooks (MS 3286/4). The diaries also include notes on conversations with other scholars and local informats, remarks on local customs and the like. |
