This film was produced by the British Universities Film and Videos Council [BUFVC] from Lockhart's early anatomy films, 'Actions of Muscles in the Living Model' and 'Acrobats' (produced between 1928 and 1932), which he bequeathed to the Council. The review contains a summary of Lockhart's life and career, discussing, in particular, his interest in muscle action and his original use of film footage and photographs to teach the principles and details of muscle action. Lockhart was a long-serving member of the Council. |
