Description | Correspondence with Aberdeen Journals Ltd, 1947 - 1954, 1963, principally letters exchanged with William Veitch, a director of Aberdeen Journals Ltd, and Cuthbert Graham, Features Editor of the 'Press and Journal', regarding notices of new purchases made by the museum. Longer articles include the story of Nouyabik, an Eskimo from South Baffin Island who visited Peterhead and Aberdeen in 1924 and attended a meeting of the University's Anatomical and Anthropological Society, December 1954, and a report of the re-opening of Am Fasgadh museum in Kingussie, November 1954.
There is also some non-museum correspondence in the file, including letters relating to Lockhart's review of Arthur Keith's autobiography and an article submitted by Lockhart to both the 'Press and Journal' and 'The Scotsman' newspapers regarding Alexander Low's study, 'Growth of Children.' |
