Description | Short report on the history of Robert Knox's anatomical collection, which was brought to Aberdeen by John Struthers, having inherited it through his purchase of the Barclay School of Anatomy, Edinburgh, c 1847. The author(s) (un-named) have attempted to identify objects from the collection from the material presently belonging in the University of Aberdeen's Zoology and Anatomy collections. The only specimen found to be unequivocally belonging the collection was the cranium of a cod fish (Knox's catalogue entry 936). The report, which is undated, was probably written c 1970s - c 1980s. |
