Administrative History | Lockhart succeeded Alexander Low to the Chair of Anatomy in the University of Aberdeen. It is clear from correspondence in this series that he was a popular choice for the Chair and that Low considered Lockhart his natural successor. He received his appointment in August 1938, but did not take up the post until January 1939, when a successor had been appointed in Birmingham. |
