Administrative History | The 129th annual meeting of the British Medical Association was held in Auckland, New Zealand as a joint meeting with the New Zealand Medical Association, 7 February 1961. Mary Esslemont acted as vice-principal of the Section of General Practice.
On her outward-bound trip, she addressed the newly-formed Hong Kong Soroptimist's Association, and on her return, visited India, where she did some liaison work on behalf of the British Medical Association's Journal Committee. She also took in Australia and South Africa, during a trip which lasted from January-March 1961. |
