In her final letter, she responds to her mother's news of John Taylor's appointment as Principal [of Aberdeen University] by saying "I don't know if it will be a popular appointment or not, but I think he will be an excellent Principal from every point of view. And Mrs Taylor will rise to the occasion I think. She has great ability, even if she is a bit bossie." |
