DescriptionMarine observer forms, land observation forms, meteorological office and observatory reports, air observer forms.

- Marine observations from Newfoundland, O.W.S. Weather Explorer, R.M.S "Nova Scotia", Arabia, Franconia and Ascania amongst others, covering from January to December.
- Land observations are mainly from England and Scotland, with some from Northern Ireland, Wales and Eire. Occasional observations made from Iceland.
- Meteorological office observations are from Scotland and surrounding islands (Benbecula, Orkney, Skye), Eire and Northern Ireland (chiefly Mullingar, Midleton, Valencia and Clones), and Acklington.
- Air observations are made on routes to and from London, Glasgow, Eire, Northern Ireland, Iceland, America and Canada.

- Occasional planispheres from assorted places.
- 'Receiving Log Analysis' sheets from Cable and Wireless Limited (Somerton and Brentwood stations): January, February and April folders.
- 'Sudden ionospheric disturbance' sheets from Cable and Wireless Limited: January, June, July, August and November folders.
- Royal Observatory, Edinburgh details of flares: March (covering first quarter of year), June (second quarter) and December (last quarter) folders.
- October folder includes a land observation from Keyingham with black and white photographs of auroral activity.
- November folder contains Keyingham photographs and sun spot observations.
ArrangementThe records for this year are divided between two boxes. Box 1 contains the records from January to May. Box 2 contains the records for June to December.
