| Administrative History | Alma Mater was the students' magazine at Aberdeen University. Founded in 1883, it was noted amongst contemporary student magazines for the high proportion of good verse contributed to it by its readers. It was wound up in 1934, to be replaced by the Gaudie, which is still going today (2001). However, the Alma Mater was revived shortly after its apparent demise and in altered form existed until 1965. J. M. Bulloch worked for Alma Mater while he was a student at Aberdeen University. |
