TitleLecture notes of Matthew Hay and others taken by John Stuart and Frank Stuart on medicine
Date1892 - 1917
Extent1 file: 0.11 linear metres
Administrative HistoryThe notes were made by John Stuart and Frank Stuart. John Stuart is probably John George Stuart, born in Tarland in 1866, who graduated MB. CM from Aberdeen University in 1897, and settled in Co. Durham. Frank Stuart was possibly his nephew, Francis Wilson Stuart, who graduated MB, Ch.B. (1909), Ch.M (1913), MD (1914). The papers were presented by Fiona M. Bennett, Aberdeen, in 1983, but her connection with Dr. Galloway and the Stuarts is unknown.

Rudolf William Galloway (1901 - 1976) graduated MB. Ch.B. from Aberdeen University in 1914. He was the son of Dr. Alexander Rudolf Galloway (1864 - 1939), lecturer in ophthalmology in Aberdeen, and became Major-General in the R.A.M.C. Whether there is a connexion between the Stuarts and the Galloways is also unknown.
