Troup was fined 10 shillings for the poor at Coldstone for his transgression with Nelly Forbes

He went to a roup where he sees Miss Fraser. He gave her a letter telling her her faults and giving her up. He later had a reconciliation with her and asked her to swear a verbal oath as to her virginity. He then wrote to her asking her to repeat in writing her verbal oath to him as to her virginity. She did not but asked him to visit soon
