Administrative History	Mary (Mally Beattie) (1744 - 1807), Beattie's wife. Beattie met her when he boarded with her father on first coming to Aberdeen in 1758. They married in 1767.
Description	Letter from Mary Beattie, Aberdeen, to the Dutchess of Gordon, mentioning the Dutchess' last letter to Mr Beattie; thanking her for her concern for Mrs Beattie's health and discouraging the Dutchess from visiting Mrs Beattie in Aberdeen while Mrs Beattie is unwell. Letter mentions that it is the first time in many months since Mrs Beattie has written a letter. Mrs Beattie writes about the birth of her [second] son [Montagu Beattie] and Mr Beattie's then poor health. Letter mentions that Mr Beattie's health is now restored.
