Administrative History	Mary (Mally Beattie) (1744 - 1807), Beattie's wife. Beattie met her when he boarded with her father on first coming to Aberdeen in 1758. They married in 1767.
Description	Letter from Mary Beattie, Aberdeen, to Lady Mayne, about the late recovery of Lady Mayne's health and Mrs Beattie's fondness of her. Also, letter mentions Mr Beattie's 'Essays'; Mrs Beattie's thoughts of Miss Cooper; Dr ?Porteus' promotion; Lord Newhaven's 'honour' and Mrs Montagu's good health. Letter ends by saying that Mr Beattie is busy with [Marischal] College and his business there will be over in April.
