Mary (Mally Beattie) (1744 - 1807), Beattie's wife. Beattie met her when he boarded with her father on first coming to Aberdeen in 1758. They married in 1767.
Description
Letter from Mary Beattie, St James's Square, to Lady Mayne, talking about the Beatties staying at Lady Mayne's house in St James's Square. Mrs Beattie writes how Miss Cooper is worried about her brother who is in Ireland and suffering from Billions fever. Also writes about Lady Mayne desiring to employ a dairy maid and how Mrs Porteus could help by recommending one.
