Letters from David Garrick to James Beattie, relating to Garrick's present from Beattie; Garrick's play and Beattie's work. Also a letter written in verse from Lord Chatham [William Pitt, first earl of Chatham [known as Pitt the elder] (1708 - 1778), prime minister] to Garrick.
An appropriate date has been given to the three letters that were undated.
